Changing storm door from screen to glass.

The idea is to unscrew all the tiny screws that are usually hidden in the spaces where the door edges meet. Loosen the two retainer strips holding the glass in the storm door before attempting to take the pane out. To do so nudge a thin blade or a flathead screwdriver between the door frame and the retaining strip gently pry it from the top of the glass and work your way in the opposite direction. It should slide into the frame as neatly as the glass panel did.

The glass or insect screen are secured using removable retainer strips on the interior of the door panel. It should not go in between the screen and the door frame. The glass panel needs to be removed to install the screen. You may also want to remove your existing screen for replacement if it has become damaged.
